A Message for Teachers from cteonline.org:
Dear CTE Online Educator,
After months of work with teams of California's top educators in the areas of Engineering Design and Media Design, CTE Online is proud to announce the launch of 100 new project-based units complete with all lessons, materials, and assessments for the classroom. The projects are organized into sequenced pathways made up of nearly 400 lesson plans spanning the STEM areas of Engineering Design I & II, Engineering Design III, Advanced CAD/CAM, and Advanced Robotics, Media Design II & III, Video Production and Editing, and Advanced Animation Design. Cross-aligned to both the Math and ELA Common Core State Standards, these represent real teachers' Linked Learning projects and plans from the classroom in full detail for your use.
Additionally, CTE Online is beginning its search for teachers to hire for this year's curriculum development institutes with a particular focus on those teachers working in Linked Learning, interdisciplinary programs or partnership academies. If you, or an educator you know, feel like you can develop the types of lessons and project plans you see below, and can create viable reading, writing, math, and science lessons and extended assignments for these projects, please let us know who you are by joining our 2013-2014 Model Curriculum Candidate Group and tell us what you teach, where, and why you think you'd make a great model curriculum developer there.
Again, averaging nearly 2,000 visits a day, we thank you for helping with the continued success of CTE Online and stay dedicated to keep CTE Online the spot for real teachers sharing real classroom expertise in support of CTE, STEM, and Linked Learning models.
Have a great year!
-The CTE Online Team
