Student Nutrition and the District Vision
Student Nutrition is a proud member of the education team at Escondido Union High School district. We serve over 5292 meals per day, through the National School breakfast and lunch program. Additionally, we serve over 300 supper meals at our three comprehensive sites at no charge to our students. During the summer, we operate our seamless summer meal program at no cost to the community.
The national school breakfast, lunch along with our super program programs strive to ensure that all students have access to healthy meals at school that promote learning readiness and healthy eating behaviors. Students who are not hungry feel better, learn better and have a greater chance for academic success. As a partner in education, our support staff works diligently to provide nutritious food in a clean, safe and healthy environment.
Who we are
Nutrition Service is a self-sufficient enterprise, and all revenues earned from food sales are used to maintain the department staffing, equipment, food and supplies, and professional development training. Our meal charge policy is in place to help remain solvent in our financial status within the district.
Nutrition services is located at the district office 302 North Midway drive.
