Benefits eligible employees, participating in EUHSD’s benefits plan, automatically receive $20,000 of basic life insurance (employer paid). Additionally, employees have the option to elect supplemental term life insurance for themselves, their spouse/domestic partner, and children (employee paid). Rates are determined by age for employee and spouse and a flat rate is assigned for insured children (see memo below for details). Employees may sign up within the first 30 days of employment or annually during Open Enrollment. These policies roll over year to year unless canceled.
