Human Resources: Benefits Voluntary Plans

AFLAC

AFLAC offers several different plans such as Disability, Cancer, Intensive Care, Accident, etc. Employees are eligible to enroll in coverage through AFLAC within the first 30 days of employment or annually during Open Enrollment. These policies roll over year to year unless canceled. See Benefits for cancellation rules, for pre-tax and post-tax policies. Deductions are taken on a tenthly basis.

WageWorks

WageWorks handles Unreimbursed Medical Expenses and Child Care Reimbursement. Employees are eligible to enroll in coverage through WageWorks within the first 30 days of employment or annually during Open Enrollment. Additionally, child care and flexible spending accounts must be renewed annually. This benefit does not roll over from year to year. Deductions are taken on a tenthly basis.

Hyatt Legal

Hyatt Legal plans are offered through the County Office of Educations Fringe Benefit Consortium. This plan provides legal service on various legal issues at an affordable cost of ($234.00/year or $23.40/tenthly). Employees may enroll in a Hyatt Legal plan only during Open Enrollment.

Supplemental Retirement Plans

Tax sheltered annuity programs are provided through the County Office of Education. Employees may access TSA salary reduction/worksheet forms, or start/stop forms by visiting FBC Deferred Compensation Plan Forms. Enrollment may take place at any time during the year and automatically rolls over from year to year. Deductions can be taken on a 10, 11 or 12-month basis.
