English as a Second Language (ESL) Orientations
Escondido Adult School offers six levels of English as a second language. Classes develop the four language skills of speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Courses integrate grammar and vocabulary with basic skills instruction to meet students' immediate needs in the areas of employment, health, housing, banking, and nutrition. Knowledge of American culture and idiomatic English are stressed.
Ongoing registration, orientation, and placement testing is held at 220 W. Crest St. Wednesdays at 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM through May 31.Child care is available at 220 W. Crest St. for morning and afternoon sessions. Registrations start on September 21, 2017 for morning students at 8:00 AM, and for evening students at 6:00 PM.
