California School-Age Families Education (Cal-SAFE) Program

The California School-Age Families Education (Cal-SAFE) Program serves expectant and parenting teens within Escondido Union High School District.

You can participate if:

  • You are expecting a baby (mothers and fathers)
  • You are a teen parent (mothers and fathers)
  • You are enrolled in one of the schools in the Escondido Union High School District (EAS Included)
 

Our Goals are:

  • To provide expectant and parenting teens with support services while completing their education.
  • To provide resources to assist expectant and parenting teens plan for their future.
  • To provide care and early education for their infants and toddlers.
 

Support Services include:

  • Referrals to district and community resources and support services
  • Parenting education 
  • Individualized advocacy and counseling services
  • Liaison with staff and community agencies to collaborate and coordinate care
  • Free quality childcare
  • Located at our site at Orange Glen High School 
  • Ongoing follow-up to support high school graduation and post-secondary access
