California School-Age Families Education (Cal-SAFE) Program
The California School-Age Families Education (Cal-SAFE) Program serves expectant and parenting teens within Escondido Union High School District.
You can participate if:
- You are expecting a baby (mothers and fathers)
- You are a teen parent (mothers and fathers)
- You are enrolled in one of the schools in the Escondido Union High School District (EAS Included)
Our Goals are:
- To provide expectant and parenting teens with support services while completing their education.
- To provide resources to assist expectant and parenting teens plan for their future.
- To provide care and early education for their infants and toddlers.
Support Services include:
- Referrals to district and community resources and support services
- Parenting education
- Individualized advocacy and counseling services
- Liaison with staff and community agencies to collaborate and coordinate care
- Free quality childcare
- Located at our site at Orange Glen High School
- Ongoing follow-up to support high school graduation and post-secondary access
