Supporting a network with over 5,000 computers, the Technology Department at EUHSD is made up of a dedicated staff of skilled personnel, committed to providing service for the technology needs of our school district. The Technology Department provides support in a wide variety of areas which include: desktop computers (student, teacher, clerical, support staff, and administration), laptops, network usage, printers, scanners, projection systems, presentation systems, wireless networks, audio systems, video systems, document cameras, smart-boards, student response systems, software, various hardware, and online resources.
One focus of the technology department is the effective integration of technology into the classroom. Resources and training are devoted to help educators use technology strategies to deliver instruction and to help students learn.
The technology department maintains the integrity of the network defending against viruses, unintentional mis-configurations as well as intentional attacks and exploits. We maintain the district email system, passing thousands of messages per day, stopping incoming Spam while allowing valid messages through. In addition, we assist with the selection, management, configuration and operation of a wide variety of Educational and Business related resources.
