This month we celebrated 12 incredible Cal-SAFE seniors who will graduate after overcoming many obstacles. A big thank you to the Church at Rancho Bernardo for their help in making it a wonderful recognition and for their support. Congratulations to our Cal-SAFE graduates!

Escondido, CA – Assistance League of Inland North County recently provided 64 duffel bags for graduating seniors experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity in the Escondido Union High School District (EUHSD) through their Operation Duffel Bag Program.

Congratulations to Angelina Sanchez from Valley High School for getting 1st place in the 2024 CCEA Plus Reaching for the Stars, Putting a Spotlight on Alternative Education Conference Student Art Contest. Way to go Angelina! Staff accepted the award on her behalf and celebrated her at the conference.

The annual colloquium for the RISE teacher induction program took place last week, recognizing the achievements and progress of all participating teachers. The RISE team paid tribute to all teachers, with a special focus on the Year 2 candidates who are nearing program completion.

Competitiveness filled the air as culinary students from San Pasqual High School participated in their Annual Chili Cook-off. Students created their chili recipes from scratch, allowing room for creativity. Staff joined in as judges and the winning team earned bragging rights! It’s a great way for students not only cook, but also participate in creating a different recipe.

Congratulations to Orange Glen High School who is currently in 13th place nation-wide in the NC3 Certification Race. Our students are excelling and dedicated to becoming highly skilled, job-ready professionals. Keep up the great work! #CTE

Students at San Pasqual High School have been working hard constructing a tiny home for veterans in need of housing through the Warrior Village project. Today marked an important moment where they raised the walls to the home. Students will not only provide valuable shelter to veterans in need but also gain practical skills and hands on experience. Don't miss the NBC San Diego story shared today! Construction is one of the many great Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways offered at EUHSD.

Thank you to the Escondido Sunrise Rotary Club, who awarded ten deserving 2024 graduates $1,000 scholarships to go toward #cte programs they’ll be pursuing after graduation. The students shared their future plans and expressed their appreciation.

The Ed Tech team continues to shine a spotlight on teachers' passion for increasing student success with the use of educational technology.
